23:6. നീ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഒരു പ്രഭുവാകുന്നു; ഞങ്ങളുടെ ശ്മശാനസ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽവെച്ചു വിശേഷമായതിൽ മരിച്ചവളെ അടക്കിക്കൊൾക; മരിച്ചവളെ അടക്കുവാൻ ഞങ്ങളിൽ ആരും ശ്മശാനസ്ഥലം നിനക്കു തരാതിരിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

23:6. "Listen, sir, you are a mighty prince among us! You may bury your dead in the choicest of our tombs. None of us will refuse you his tomb to prevent you from burying your dead."

23:6. "Listen, my lord, you are an honored prince among us. Choose the finest of our tombs and bury her there. No one here will refuse to help you in this way."

23:6. Hear us, my lord. Thou art a prince of God among us. In the choice of our sepulchres bury thy dead. None of us shall withhold from thee his sepulchre, but that thou mayest bury thy dead.

23:6. "Sir, you are a great leader among us. You can have the best place we have to bury your dead. You can have any of our burying places that you want. None of us will stop you from burying your wife there."
