37:35. അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും എല്ലാം അവനെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിപ്പാൻ വന്നു; അവനോ ആശ്വാസം കൈക്കൊൾവാൻ മനസ്സില്ലാതെ: ഞാൻ ദുഃഖത്തോടെ എന്റെ മകന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പാതാളത്തിൽ ഇറങ്ങുമെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ഇങ്ങനെ അവന്റെ അപ്പൻ അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

37:35. All his sons and daughters stood by him to console him, but he refused to be consoled. "No," he said, "I will go to the grave mourning my son." So Joseph's father wept for him.

37:35. His family all tried to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted. "I will go to my grave mourning for my son," he would say, and then he would weep.
