9:12. ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ശക്തിപ്പെട്ടു ദേശത്തിന്റെ നന്മ അനുഭവിച്ചു അതു എന്നേക്കും നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കൾക്കു അവകാശമായി വെച്ചേക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രിമാരെ അവരുടെ പുത്രന്മാർക്കു കൊടുക്കാതെയും അവരുടെ പുത്രിമാരെ നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാർക്കു എടുക്കാതെയും അവരുടെ സമാധാനവും നന്മയും ഒരിക്കലും കരുതാതെയും ഇരിക്കേണം എന്നിങ്ങനെ നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരായ പ്രവാചകന്മാർമുഖാന്തരം നീ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത കല്പനകളെ ഞങ്ങൾ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.

9:12. Therefore do not give your daughters in marriage to their sons, and do not take their daughters in marriage for your sons. Do not ever seek their peace or welfare, so that you may be strong and may eat the good of the land and may leave it as an inheritance for your children forever.'

9:12. Don't let your daughters marry their sons! Don't take their daughters as wives for your sons. Don't ever promote the peace and prosperity of those nations. If you follow these instructions, you will be strong and will enjoy the good things the land produces, and you will leave this prosperity to your children forever.'
