2:8. അവർക്കു എഴുത്തുകളും ആലയത്തോടു ചേർന്ന കോട്ടവാതിലുകൾക്കും പട്ടണത്തിന്റെ മതിലിന്നും ഞാൻ ചെന്നു പാർപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്ന വീട്ടിന്നും വേണ്ടി ഉത്തരം മുതലായവ ഉണ്ടാക്കുവാൻ രാജാവിന്റെ വനവിചാരകനായ ആസാഫ് എനിക്കു മരം തരേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്നു ഒരു എഴുത്തും നല്കേണമേ എന്നും ഞാൻ രാജാവിനോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു. എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദയയുള്ള കൈ എനിക്കു അനുകൂലമായിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു രാജാവു അതു എനിക്കു തന്നു.

2:8. and a letter for Asaph the keeper of the king's nature preserve, so that he will give me timber for beams for the gates of the fortress adjacent to the temple and for the city wall and for the house to which I go." So the king granted me these requests, for the good hand of my God was on me.

2:8. And please give me a letter addressed to Asaph, the manager of the king's forest, instructing him to give me timber. I will need it to make beams for the gates of the Temple fortress, for the city walls, and for a house for myself." And the king granted these requests, because the gracious hand of God was on me.

2:8. and a letter unto Asaph the keeper of the kings forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the castle which appertaineth to the house, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that I shall enter into. And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me.

2:8. and a letter to Asaph, the keeper of the king's forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the fortress of the temple, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that I shall occupy." And the king granted me what I asked, for the good hand of my God was upon me.

2:8. I also need lumber for the heavy wooden beams for the gates, the walls, the walls around the Temple, and my house. So I need a letter from you to Asaph, who is in charge of your forests." The king gave me the letters and everything I asked for. The king did that because God was kind to me.

And a letter H107 unto H413 Asaph H623 the keeper H8104 of the king's H4428 forest, H6508 that H834 he may give H5414 me timber H6086 to make beams H7136 for H853 the gates H8179 of the palace H1002 which H834 [appertained] to the house, H1004 and for the wall H2346 of the city, H5892 and for the house H1004 that H834 I shall enter H935 into. H413 And the king H4428 granted H5414 me , according to the good H2896 hand H3027 of my God H430 upon H5921 me.
