8:14. ഭൂമിയിൽ നടക്കുന്ന ഒരുമായ ഉണ്ടു: നീതിമാന്മാർക്കു ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു യോഗ്യമായതു ഭവിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാർക്കു നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു യോഗ്യമായതും ഭവിക്കുന്നു; അതും മായ അത്രേ എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

8:14. Here is another enigma that occurs on earth: Sometimes there are righteous people who get what the wicked deserve, and sometimes there are wicked people who get what the righteous deserve. I said, "This also is an enigma."

8:14. And this is not all that is meaningless in our world. In this life, good people are often treated as though they were wicked, and wicked people are often treated as though they were good. This is so meaningless!

8:14. There is a vanity which is done upon the earth, that there are righteous men unto whom it happeneth according to the work of the wicked; again, there are wicked men to whom it happeneth according to the work of the righteous: I said that this also is vanity.

8:14. There is a vanity that takes place on earth, that there are righteous people to whom it happens according to the deeds of the wicked, and there are wicked people to whom it happens according to the deeds of the righteous. I said that this also is vanity.

8:14. There is a vanity which is done upon the earth; that there be just [men,] unto whom it happeneth according to the work of the wicked; again, there be wicked [men,] to whom it happeneth according to the work of the righteous: I said that this also [is] vanity.

8:14. There is something else that happens on earth that does not seem fair. Bad things should happen to bad people, and good things should happen to good people. But sometimes bad things happen to good people, and good things happen to bad people. This is not fair.

8:14. There is a vanity which is done on the earth, that there are righteous men to whom it happens according to the work of the wicked. Again, there are wicked men to whom it happens according to the work of the righteous. I said that this also is vanity.
