13:22. ഇങ്ങനെ എനിക്കു ഭവിപ്പാൻ സംഗതി എന്തു എന്നു നീ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ചോദിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ--നിന്റെ അകൃത്യബഹുത്വം നിമിത്തം നിന്റെ വസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെ വിളുമ്പു നീങ്ങിയും നിന്റെ കുതികാലിന്നു അപമാനം വന്നും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

13:22. You will probably ask yourself, 'Why have these things happened to me? Why have I been treated like a disgraced adulteress whose skirt has been torn off and her limbs exposed?' It is because you have sinned so much.

13:22. You may ask yourself, "Why is all this happening to me?" It is because of your many sins! That is why you have been stripped and raped by invading armies.

13:22. And if thou say in thy heart, Wherefore are these things come upon me? for the greatness of thine iniquity are thy skirts uncovered, and thy heels suffer violence.

13:22. And if you say in your heart, 'Why have these things come upon me?' it is for the greatness of your iniquity that your skirts are lifted up and you suffer violence.

13:22. And if thou say in thine heart, Wherefore come these things upon me? For the greatness of thine iniquity are thy skirts discovered, [and] thy heels made bare.

13:22. And if you say in your heart, `Why have these things come upon me?' it is for the greatness of your iniquity that your skirts are lifted up, and you suffer violence.

13:22. You might ask yourself, "Why has this bad thing happened to me?" It happened because of your many sins. Because of your sins, your skirt was torn off, and your sandals were taken away. They did this to embarrass you.

13:22. If you say in your heart, Why are these things come on me? for the greatness of your iniquity are your skirts uncovered, and your heels suffer violence.
