5:22. നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയില്ലയോ? എന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ വിറെക്കയില്ലയോ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ഞാൻ കടലിന്നു കവിഞ്ഞുകൂടാതവണ്ണം നിത്യപ്രമാണമായി മണൽ അതിരാക്കി വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; തിരകൾ അലെച്ചാലും സാധിക്കയില്ല; എത്രതന്നേ ഇരെച്ചാലും അതിർ കടക്കയില്ല.

5:22. "You should fear me!" says the LORD. "You should tremble in awe before me! I made the sand to be a boundary for the sea, a permanent barrier that it can never cross. Its waves may roll, but they can never prevail. They may roar, but they can never cross beyond that boundary."

5:22. Have you no respect for me? Why don't you tremble in my presence? I, the LORD, define the ocean's sandy shoreline as an everlasting boundary that the waters cannot cross. The waves may toss and roar, but they can never pass the boundaries I set.

5:22. Fear ye not me? saith Jehovah: will ye not tremble at my presence, who have placed the sand for the bound of the sea, by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it? and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it.

5:22. Me do ye not fear, an affirmation of Jehovah? From My presence are ye not pained? Who hath made sand the border of the sea, A limit age-during, and it passeth not over it, They shake themselves, and they are not able, Yea, sounded have its billows, and they pass not over.

5:22. Surely you are afraid of me." This message is from the Lord. "You should shake with fear in front of me. I am the one who made the sandy shores to hold back the sea. I made it that way to keep the water in its place forever. The waves may pound the beach, but they will not destroy it. The waves may roar as they come in, but they cannot go beyond the beach.
