2:17. യഹോവ നിർണ്ണയിച്ചതു അനുഷ്ടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; പുരാതനകാലത്തു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു നിവർത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. കരുണകൂടാതെ അവൻ ഇടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; അവൻ ശത്രുവിനെ നിന്നെച്ചൊല്ലി സന്തോഷിപ്പിച്ചു വൈരികളുടെ കൊമ്പു ഉയർത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

2:17. The LORD has done what he planned; he has fulfilled his promise that he threatened long ago: He has overthrown you without mercy and has enabled the enemy to gloat over you; he has exalted your adversaries' power.&u05E6; (Tsade)

2:17. But it is the LORD who did just as he planned. He has fulfilled the promises of disaster he made long ago. He has destroyed Jerusalem without mercy. He has caused her enemies to gloat over her and has given them power over her.

2:17. Jehovah hath done that which he purposed; he hath fulfilled his word that he commanded in the days of old; He hath thrown down, and hath not pitied: And he hath caused the enemy to rejoice over thee; he hath exalted the horn of thine adversaries.
