2:49. ദാനീയേലിന്റെ അപേക്ഷപ്രകാരം രാജാവു ശദ്രക്കിനെയും മേശക്കിനെയും അബേദ്നെഗോവെയും ബാബേൽ സംസ്ഥാനത്തിലെ കാര്യാദികൾക്കു മേൽവിചാരകരാക്കി; ദാനീയേലോ രാജാവിന്റെ കോവിലകത്തു പാർത്തു.

2:49. And at Daniel's request, the king appointed Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego over the administration of the province of Babylon. Daniel himself served in the king's court.

2:49. At Daniel's request, the king appointed Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to be in charge of all the affairs of the province of Babylon, while Daniel remained in the king's court.

2:49. And Daniel requested of the king, and he appointed Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon: but Daniel was in the gate of the king.

2:49. Daniel asked the king to make Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego important officials over the province of Babylon. The king did as Daniel asked. Daniel himself became one of the important officials who was always near the king.

2:49. Daniel requested of the king, and he appointed Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon: but Daniel was in the gate of the king.
