1:12. മുന്തിരിവള്ളി വാടി അത്തിവൃക്ഷം ഉണങ്ങി, മാതളം, ഈന്തപ്പന, നാരകം മുതലായി പറമ്പിലെ സകലവൃക്ഷങ്ങളും ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു; ആനന്ദം മനുഷ്യരെ വീട്ടു മാഞ്ഞുപോയല്ലോ.

1:12. The vine has dried up; the fig tree languishes— the pomegranate, date, and apple as well. In fact, all the trees of the field have dried up. Indeed, the joy of the people has dried up!

1:12. The grapevines have dried up, and the fig trees have withered. The pomegranate trees, palm trees, and apple trees-- all the fruit trees-- have dried up. And the people's joy has dried up with them.
