4:9. ദൈവം യോനയോടു: നീ ആവണക്കു നിമിത്തം കോപിക്കുന്നതു വിഹിതമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവൻ: ഞാൻ മരണപര്യന്തം കോപിക്കുന്നതു വിഹിതം തന്നേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

4:9. God said to Jonah, "Are you really so very angry about the little plant?" And he said, "I am as angry as I could possibly be!"

4:9. Then God said to Jonah, "Is it right for you to be angry because the plant died?" "Yes," Jonah retorted, "even angry enough to die!"

4:9. And God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, even unto death.

4:9. But God said to Jonah, "Do you do well to be angry for the plant?" And he said, "Yes, I do well to be angry, angry enough to die."

4:9. And God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, [even] unto death.

4:9. But God said to Jonah, "Do you do well to be angry for the plant?" And he said, "I do well to be angry, angry enough to die."

4:9. And God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry even unto death.

4:9. And God saith unto Jonah: `Is doing good displeasing to thee, because of the gourd?` and he saith, `To do good is displeasing to me -- unto death.`

4:9. But God said to Jonah, "Do you think it is right for you to be angry just because this plant died?" Jonah answered, "Yes, it is right for me to be angry! I am angry enough to die!"

4:9. God said to Jonah, "Is it right for you to be angry about the vine?" He said, "I am right to be angry, even to death."
