4:9. നീ ഇപ്പോൾ ഇത്ര ഉറക്കെ, നിലവിളിക്കുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു? നിന്റെ അകത്തു രാജാവില്ലയോ? നിന്റെ മന്ത്രി നശിച്ചുപോയോ? ഈറ്റുനോവു കിട്ടിയവളെപ്പോലെ നിനക്കു വേദനപിടിപ്പാൻ എന്തു?

4:9. Jerusalem, why are you now shouting so loudly? Has your king disappeared? Has your wise leader been destroyed? Is this why pain grips you as if you were a woman in labor?

4:9. But why are you now screaming in terror? Have you no king to lead you? Have your wise people all died? Pain has gripped you like a woman in childbirth.

4:9. Now why dost thou cry out aloud? Is there no king in thee, is thy counsellor perished, that pangs have taken hold of thee as of a woman in travail?
