2:22. എന്നാൽ യെഹൂദ്യയിൽ അർക്കെലയൊസ് തന്റെ അപ്പനായ ഹെരോദാവിന്നു പകരം വാഴുന്നു എന്നു കേട്ടതുകൊണ്ടു അവിടെ പോകുവാൻ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു, സ്വപ്നത്തിൽ അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടായിട്ടു ഗലീലപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലേക്കു മാറിപ്പോയി.

2:22. But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. After being warned in a dream, he went to the regions of Galilee.

2:22. But when he learned that the new ruler of Judea was Herod's son Archelaus, he was afraid to go there. Then, after being warned in a dream, he left for the region of Galilee.

2:22. But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither; and being warned of God in a dream, he withdrew into the parts of Galilee,

2:22. But he heard that Archelaus was now king in Judea. Archelaus became king when his father Herod died. So Joseph was afraid to go there. Then, after being warned in a dream, he went away to the area of Galilee.
