3:11. ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ മാനസാന്തരത്തിന്നായി വെള്ളത്തിൽ സ്നാനം ഏല്പിക്കുന്നതേയുള്ളു; എന്റെ പിന്നാലെ വരുന്നവനോ എന്നെക്കാൾ ബലവാൻ ആകുന്നു; അവന്റെ ചെരിപ്പു ചുമപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ മതിയായവനല്ല; അവൻ നിങ്ങളെ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിലും തീയിലും സ്നാനം ഏല്പിക്കും.

3:11. "I baptize you with water, for repentance, but the one coming after me is more powerful than I am— I am not worthy to carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

3:11. "I baptize with water those who repent of their sins and turn to God. But someone is coming soon who is greater than I am-- so much greater that I'm not worthy even to be his slave and carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

3:11. I indeed baptize you in water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire:
