1:42. അവനെ യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; യേശു അവനെ നോക്കി: “നീ യോഹന്നാന്റെ പുത്രനായ ശിമോൻ ആകുന്നു; നിനക്കു കേഫാ എന്നു പേരാകും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അതു പത്രൊസ് എന്നാകുന്നു.

1:42. Andrew brought Simon to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, "You are Simon, the son of John. You will be called Cephas" (which is translated Peter).
