3:25. വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവർക്കു അവൻ തന്റെ രക്തംമൂലം പ്രായശ്ചിത്തമാകുവാൻ ദൈവം അവനെ പരസ്യമായി നിറുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ദൈവം തന്റെ പൊറുമയിൽ മുൻകഴിഞ്ഞ പാപങ്ങളെ ശിക്ഷിക്കാതെ വിടുകനിമിത്തം തന്റെ നീതിയെ പ്രദർശിപ്പിപ്പാൻ,

3:25. God publicly displayed him at his death as the mercy seat accessible through faith. This was to demonstrate his righteousness, because God in his forbearance had passed over the sins previously committed.

3:25. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past,

3:25. God gave Jesus as a way to forgive people's sins through their faith in him. God can forgive them because the blood sacrifice of Jesus pays for their sins. God gave Jesus to show that he always does what is right and fair. He was right in the past when he was patient and did not punish people for their sins. And in our own time he still does what is right. God worked all this out in a way that allows him to judge people fairly and still make right any person who has faith in Jesus.
