19:6. ഇങ്ങനെ കുല ചെയ്തവനെ രക്തപ്രതികാരകൻ മനസ്സിന്റെ ഉഷ്ണത്തോടെ പിന്തുടർന്നു വഴിയുടെ ദൂരംനിമിത്തം അവനെ പിടിച്ചു അവന്റെ ജീവനെ നശിപ്പിക്കാതിരിപ്പാൻ അവൻ ആ പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നിൽ ഓടിപ്പോയി ജീവനോടിരിക്കേണം; അവന്നു അവനോടു പൂർവ്വദ്വേഷമില്ലാതിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു മരണശിക്ഷെക്കു ഹേതുവില്ല.

19:6. Otherwise the blood avenger will chase after the killer in the heat of his anger, eventually overtake him, and kill him, though this is not a capital case since he did not hate him at the time of the accident.

19:6. "If the distance to the nearest city of refuge is too far, an enraged avenger might be able to chase down and kill the person who caused the death. Then the slayer would die unfairly, since he had never shown hostility toward the person who died.
