8:9. ഞാൻ അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെ കൈക്കു പിടിച്ചു മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നാളിൽ ഞാൻ അവരോടു ചെയ്ത നിയമംപോലെ അല്ല; അവർ എന്റെ നിയമത്തിൽ നിലനിന്നില്ല; ഞാൻ അവരെ ആദരിച്ചതുമില്ല എന്നു കർത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

8:9. "It will not be like the covenant that I made with their fathers, on the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they did not continue in my covenant and I had no regard for them, says the Lord.

8:9. This covenant will not be like the one I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand and led them out of the land of Egypt. They did not remain faithful to my covenant, so I turned my back on them, says the LORD.

8:9. Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers In the day that I took them by the hand to lead them forth out of the land of Egypt; For they continued not in my covenant, And I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
