10:1. യോശുവ ഹായിപട്ടണം പിടിച്ചു നിർമ്മൂലമാക്കി എന്നും അവൻ യെരീഹോവിനോടും അതിന്റെ രാജാവിനോടും ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഹായിയോടും അതിന്റെ രാജാവിനോടും ചെയ്തു എന്നും ഗിബെയോൻ നിവാസികൾ യിസ്രായേലിനോടു സഖ്യത ചെയ്തു അവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലായി എന്നും യെരൂശലേംരാജാവായ അദോനീ-സേദെൿ കേട്ടപ്പോൾ

10:1. Adoni-Zedek, king of Jerusalem, heard how Joshua captured Ai and annihilated it and its king as he did Jericho and its king. He also heard how the people of Gibeon made peace with Israel and lived among them.

10:1. Adoni-zedek, king of Jerusalem, heard that Joshua had captured and completely destroyed Ai and killed its king, just as he had destroyed the town of Jericho and killed its king. He also learned that the Gibeonites had made peace with Israel and were now their allies.

10:1. Now it came to pass, when Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem heard how Joshua had taken Ai, and had utterly destroyed it; as he had done to Jericho and her king, so he had done to Ai and her king; and how the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel, and were among them;

10:1. At this time Adoni Zedek was the king of Jerusalem. He heard that Joshua had defeated Ai and completely destroyed it. The king learned that Joshua had done the same thing to Jericho and its king. He also learned that the Gibeonites had made a peace agreement with Israel and that they lived very near Jerusalem.
