20:5. രക്തപ്രതികാരകൻ അവനെ പിന്തുടർന്നുചെന്നാൽ കുലചെയ്തവൻ മനസ്സറിയാതെയും പൂർവ്വദ്വേഷം കൂടാതെയും തന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനെ കൊന്നു പോയതാകയാൽ അവർ അവനെ അവന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കരുതു.

20:5. When the avenger of blood comes after him, they must not hand over to him the one who committed manslaughter, for he accidentally killed his fellow man without premeditation.

20:5. If the relatives of the victim come to avenge the killing, the leaders must not release the slayer to them, for he killed the other person unintentionally and without previous hostility.
