9:4. പിന്നെ അവർ ബാൽബെരീത്തിന്റെ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽനിന്നു എഴുപതു വെള്ളിക്കാശു എടുത്തു അവന്നു കൊടുത്തു; അതിനെക്കൊണ്ടു അബീമേലെൿ തുമ്പുകെട്ടവരും നിസ്സാരന്മാരുമായ ആളുകളെ കൂലിക്കു വാങ്ങി അവർക്കു നായകനായ്തീർന്നു.

9:4. They paid him seventy silver shekels out of the temple of Baal-Berith. Abimelech then used the silver to hire some lawless, dangerous men as his followers.

9:4. They gave him seventy silver coins from the temple of Baal-berith, which he used to hire some reckless troublemakers who agreed to follow him.

9:4. And they gave him threescore and ten pieces of silver out of the house of Baal-berith, wherewith Abimelech hired vain and light fellows, who followed him.

9:4. So the leaders of Shechem gave Abimelech 70 pieces of silver. That silver was from the temple of the god Baal Berith. Abimelech used the silver to hire some men. These men were worthless, reckless men. They followed Abimelech wherever he went.

9:4. They gave him seventy pieces of silver out of the house of Baal Berith, with which Abimelech hired vain and light fellows, who followed him.
